By the time you are reading this article, I have just finished a 5-day trip to the Dolomites and back studying in Paris. This trip is a spectacular nature immersion, made for hikers looking for preserved natural parcs and breathtaking views.

In the following, I’m going to take you through great places to visit during your next trip to the Dolomites.

The road trip

Before starting your trip to the Dolomites, you need to plan your journey in advance. This means, finding a road trip that passes through the best sceneries without missing out.

Your road trip will depend on where you’re planning to start your journey. For most travellers in this region coming from abroad, including myself, you’ll probably start off from Venice Airport.

Depending on your time available, their are many possibilities. For a week’s trip, I would recommend passing by :

  • Parco Naturale delle Dolomiti d’Ampezzo (Cortina d’Ampezzo)
  • Parco Naturale Puez — Odle (Selva di Val Gardena)
  • Riserva Naturale Gardesana Orientale (Riva del Garda)
