I Re-Discovered Life in Lofoton, Norway.
The Lofoten Islands form an archipelago in Norway’s breathtaking arctic region. The islands are located approximately 150 km north of the Arctic Circle and 2,500 km away from the North Pole. The entire region, beginning from the city of Tromsø all the way to Reine, has distinctive scenery with dramatic mountains and peaks, sheltered bays, beaches and untouched lands.
My friends and I took a 7-day roadtrip in August 2021. Throughout this blog post I’m going to take you through the highlights of my trip and the best moments me and my friends spent in the Lofoton Islands.

Driving through the islands, there are a few towns located between Tromsø, the airport city, and Reine, at the extremity of the archipelago that you must definitely visit during your stay in the Lofotons. On the map below I selected the cities that I would recommend spending the night during your roadtrip.
